Concept
Hands-on control of every room, player and bitwerk device, on a sloped desk unit.
Producers’ desks, mixing and mastering rooms, control rooms and broadcast desks.
- Sources: a strip per channel with a meter; touch or a key mutes or solos it, an encoder sets its level.
- Outputs: speaker sets A, B, C, sub and headphones with meters; one key picks the active set.
- Routing: hold a source and press the outputs it should reach, or open the routing page on the screen.
- The big knob: level of the selected output with clicks and end stops set in software, Mute, Dim, a level
lock and talkback.
- Monitor level that keeps the samples: the knob sets the level where it costs no bits, on the DAC’s own volume
control or the analog monitor stage of the bitwerk Studio, so the digital path stays
bit-perfect. The Control does the job of a separate monitor volume box.
- Scenes and cue mixes for sessions with musicians.
Choosing music, playlists and cues is the job of the bitwerk Remote. Speaker, headphone and network
cables for the desk come from the cable builder.
